You will enjoy this fun and fulfilling hands-on fused glass workshop. We will make earrings and cabochon in the hot box kiln. You will learn the cutting process, safety, and several techniques for making your very own earrings and necklace. The 4 hour time slot should allow you to make two pairs of earrings and one cabochons necklace to take home with you after class. Includes earring attachments and leather cords for glass cabochon. Beginners welcome!

Advanced-Plate, Bowl or Snack Tray.

This fused glass workshop gives you the time to work on a larger piece with the use of frit, stringer and other design elements. You create your plate and choose your mold. You will pick up your gorgeous designer plate at the end of the week. Additional plates can be made for $20.00 each. Workshop time is 3 hours, Choose a 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm time slot. Past fusing and glass cutting experience is required and will make this class more enjoyable. There will be a safety briefing and then you can get to work!

Beginning Glass Fusing Workshop

Join us in this fun beginner glass on Lake Washington. You will learn about glass, safe handling procedures, cutting, kiln safety and studio etiquette. As you learn to cut glass, you will have the opportunity to make magnets, flame-worked elements for your flower stake, a 4x4 tile and a fun whimsical Flower garden stake “one of the girls.” Your $10.00 fee covers the dichroic glass for use on your pieces. A list of resources, book recommendations and information will be sent home with you. Some items may require manipulation or slumping and may need to be picked up at a later date. Wear long sleeve shirts and closed toed shoes. Safety glasses and cutting tools are required and will be provided for your use. Bring a lunch and close fitting work gloves. Additional flower faces can be made for $18.00 each.
10am – 4pm (45minute lunch break with lake views) Treats, water and coffee provided throughout day.

PRIVATE HOME CLASSES.

Stuhring is also an expert at using the tabletop Hot Box Kiln that is portable and plugs into a 110 wall socket.
This can make a fun home party! You can use this rapid fire kiln to fuse and slump beautiful solid glass earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watchs, tiles and small dishes.

Class runs 5 hours and accomodates up to 8 people.
Custom designed for your group.
Try a class making just earrings and pendants. Most people will make 2-4 items in a session. Your guests are sure to have fun making their own masterpieces.

You can make everything from scratch or I can prep some items before the party.
You can even incorporate dichroic glass in items for a small extra fee.

COSTS: $50.00 per person for 5 hours. Minimum of three participants age 12 and over.
